Terms of use
YPEx is a worldwide photo exchange for sailors. Matching uses time and location, not clubs or events. Clubs are optional groups for organising a fleet or a regatta.

What you may upload
Upload only photos you are allowed to share. Do not upload illegal material. Do not upload photos in which people are identifiable unless you have their consent. GPS metadata on originals is used for matching; previews shown in the app are stripped of GPS EXIF. Uploading is always free.
Originals and payment
A match partner may download a preview without paying. The photographer may set a price of €0–10 for the original file. There is no public photo shop: originals are only offered to people whose GPS track matched the photo (or to the owner). You must not sell or offer illegal content. Taking a photo down deletes the files from disk and ends any download right, even if someone already paid.
Reporting and removal
If you see a photo that breaks these rules, report it. We review reports and delete files from disk when we take content down — not only the database row. We may suspend accounts that dump content, harass others, sell or upload illegal material, or repeatedly break these terms.
Accounts
Creating an account requires agreeing to this version of the terms. You are responsible for your passkey and recovery options.
